    We are so glad to finally release this Colombia El Vergel 24h aerobic fermented washed red and yellow Caturra from Elias and Shady Bayter.

    Coffee: This is a fantastic coffee and a dream to roast and share with you all! The Bayter brothers have done very exciting work over the last few years, and this modern approach to the washed process is really progressive! 

    This is one of those great coffees that we can roast and brew in a number of ways, and it will just be different versions of delicious.

    We are so excited to get our hands on this wonderful 24h aerobic fermented washed red and yellow Caturra from the Bayter brothers, grown at 1700msl at El Vergel in Tolima, Colombia.

    Story: This lot is a modern version of the traditional washed process. After harvest, the coffee cherries undergo an aerobic 24h fermentation in cherry and then a traditional washed process just to get some more fruit forward notes but spotless cup at the same time.

    You will find a complex cup with white floras in the aroma and notes of sweet citrus, raspberry and milk chocolate with a long and sparkling finish.

    Always fresh: 250 grams of coffee, perfect for both an exciting batch brew and an edgy espresso.
