Grown at a staggering 2,000–2,350 masl in the highlands of Guji, this natural-process coffee bursts with character. In the cup, you’ll find florals, crisp grapes, juicy peach, ripe berries, sweet citrus, and a rich, velvety body.
This is our third year sharing Mi’eessa Robe’s remarkable coffee.
Mi’eessa farms eight hectares in Sukke Qutto, Shaakiso. He inherited the land from his parents and has spent his entire life growing coffee. Now 45, he supports a family of seven children with dedication and care rooted in tradition.
The cherries are processed by Ture Waji and his team at Sookoo Coffee — a partnership we’ve valued for three seasons. Ture’s team makes it possible to separate and showcase single-farmer lots like this one, capturing each producer’s unique expression.
Why Guji?
Guji is one of Ethiopia’s most exciting coffee regions — rugged, remote, and full of potential. The high altitudes, dense forest canopy, and distinct local varieties create a perfect environment for slow cherry development and deep complexity in the cup.
