About Yuri and the Montanchez family

The Montanchez family settled in San Agustin in 2001 after leaving behind an unstable period in Putumayo. Yuri’s father, Jesus, rebuilt the family’s future through coffee at Los Guaduales, determined to create stability and opportunity for his children.

After his sudden passing in 2021, Yuri and her siblings took over the farm, dividing responsibility and committing to quality-focused production through the Monkaaba network. This lot marks Yuri’s first international micro lot under her own name — a result of years of learning, cupping feedback, and steady refinement of their post-harvest work.
