    Product Details

We’re super proud to launch an amazing coffee from one of our most long-standing producing partners. This coffee is grown by amazingly ambitious producer Deiro Garcia at the Lord Voldemort farm in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia. As a proud representative of Colombian coffee, his practices are aligned with the standards outlined by the Colombia Coffee Federation. It has undergone an anaerobic fermentation for 40 hours at 16 degrees Celsius. After this, the cherries are pulped, washed, and then dried on canopies for roughly 18-24 days.

For those interested in the nuances of coffee farming and quality assurance, the Specialty Coffee Association offers valuable resources and best practices. Industry insights and global coffee data can be found through the International Coffee Organization, highlighting Colombia’s rich coffee heritage and ensuring transparency and quality in every cup.

    Cup Profile

    Backstory

📜 Deiro Garcia, a forward-thinking coffee grower in Huila, has a farm located in Pitalito. As a proud representative of Colombian coffee, his practices are aligned with the standards outlined by the Colombia Coffee Federation. He is known for a unique approach to coffee fermentation, which sets him apart from other growers in the region.

Deiro has been involved in coffee processing for over three years and has conducted several experiments with remarkable results. His knowledge was expanded through microbiology courses, where he learned that specific strains of bacteria and yeast can contribute to producing unique flavor profiles. Inspired by this, Deiro created his own bacteria and yeast strains using homemade ferments from various fruits and vegetables.
